Have you ever had a dream of something you wanted to become and were made fun of? Maybe something like Santa or a superhero? I think that you just have to learn that some people will not appreciate your dream, but you just have to believe in yourself. Here, if you have watched the trailer where Justin wants to become a knight and he is made fun of but he works hard and he gets trained, you will notice people's criticisms didn't discourage him. Written in another font, you should not feel bad about yourself for anything you want to be.
Everyone wants to become something when they grow up, and some of them pick their passion at a young age, and start thinking about it as their dream or career. In the movie clip, Justin wanted to become a knight because he liked to fight with swords and save the day-he liked doing what knights do, but since nobody ever thought of becoming a knight or didn’t want to be a knight, Justin was insulted for being something that he had a passion about, and I think this is wrong. Nobody should be insulted for what they want to be when they grow up. Neither should the person be insulted, nor should the person be afraid to pursue their dreams.
I am not afraid of pursuing my dream to become a lawyer because I believe everyone has unique dreams, and I am specifically passionate about helping other people who are accused of a crime, or need to sign papers for buying a home, or writing a will. But if I were, it would be a lawyer because maybe the society thinks that women can’t play important roles, and get involved in government. I think that Justin like me, should keep aiming to become a knight, and he’ll go so far, all the people insulting him will release that anyone can do anything if they try.
Some positive things I can think to myself to combat all the negative things anyone might say about my ultimate dream/goal are: “I can help so many people with this job” and “If I get this job, I can help people accused of crimes and write wills and sign papers to approve it”. I can also think about ways I can help people with my dream job, how it can help the community and help me make money to feed my family, and things I can do to make other people’s lives better, basically helping them. And if people think negatively about my dream, just like the people insulting Justin, I think that they don’t realize that anyone can become whatever they want to, and everything is possible, so anyone can be what they want to be.
