Here is a short composition I wrote when I was asked to write a short story which was realistic fiction, but it was not a personal narrative; I was asked to write it as what happened to another character.
My family and I were driving along a road in Australia when suddenly a mob of kangaroos hopped across the road. My father, who was driving was startled and he applied the brakes. But it was too late! We were going to run the kangaroos over! My father swerved the vehicle in an attempt trying to avoid the kangaroos.
We could hear loud honks and warnings from other cars. My younger brother and I sat in the seats, closing our eyes and ears to avoid the crash. We heard a loud bang till the vehicle came to a halt. I felt like I passed out because I felt a sharp pain in my head.
Anxiously, I looked up at the doctor. The doctor told me that my family members were fine. My parents were resting in a ward just like me, and the police had asked for their statements. My brother rested in a different ward too.
In a while, we all walked out of the hospital and we were all fine. We thanked the doctor and left the hospital. After the police took our statements, our car was towed, and we went to the police station to collect our vehicle and return back home.
This was our last day in the hospital and it had been three days, so our family decided that we would return back to America to tour over there, but my father refused to drive after the frightening incident!
To begin with, I thought that I would start off with this composition. In the comments below, tell me what you thought of this post. Welcome to my blog!
